To get rid of the Electoral College would require a Constitutional Ammendment. That is not likely to happen in my life time or yours. But there is a way to elect our President by popular vote. How? By changing a law in enough states to in effect require electors to split there votes. Right now we have a 'winner take all' method. For the details of this new way read
